If a foreigner comes to the U.S. on ESTA (Visa Waiver Program), is she eligible to adjust status to permanent resident? Learn about the law on this topic in this free 30-minute webinar.

Under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) nationals of certain “low risk” countries are allowed to travel to the U.S. without a visa. These individuals register with the online Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before traveling to the U.S. The immigration statute provides that ESTA/VWP entrants are not eligible to adjust status, but there is an exception for immediate relatives. Learn about the details of this process and ask questions in our interactive Q&A.

Topics covered

  • Which ESTA/VWP entrants are eligible to adjust?
  • Can ESTA/VWP entrants adjust past the 90-day window?
  • When and when not?Common problems with ESTA/VWP adjustments.
  • Important questions to consider about your case.

Who should attend?

Individuals considering pursuing adjustment of status after entering the U.S. on ESTA.

We here for you, as always.

Sound Immigration will continue its operations during the Covid crisis. Since our founding, we have operated as a remote, digitally-networked team, so that is nothing new for us.

What is new, of course, is the crisis that confronts the world as a whole. Now is the time to affirm our membership in the interconnected global community. We are proud, as ever, of the role that we as immigration lawyers play in strengthing those global bonds.

Stay strong. Stay socially distanced. We will make it through this together.

In solidarity,
Greg McLawsen
